17 May SELF-CARE, IS THE NUMBER ONE VACCINE AGAINST COVID-19
The UK has spent over a year under lockdown restrictions due to the covid-19 pandemic.
Several interventions have been put in place to curb the spread in vain.
The government rolled out an immunization drive earlier this year, first targeting frontline workers, the elderly, vulnerable groups, and later the entire population. With this initiative, the government’s target was to slowly ease the lockdown restrictions and fully open up within 6 months.
This thought was however halted a few months into the immunization drive when a new covid19 strain from India hit the country. Other strains include that from South Africa and another from the UK itself.
This has left many who had taken the vaccination Wondering if the previous vaccine still protects them from the new variants.
With scientists and researchers still skeptical about the effectiveness of the vaccine on preventing the new variants, self-care remains the number one key vaccine to cubbing the spread and effects of covid19 and its variants.
Self care involves protecting other from self, eating an immune boosting diet, taking enough sleep and respecting the ministry of health guidelines.
