CARE HOME RESIDENTS CONSIDERED IN UK’s STEP ONE A, LOCKDOWN EASE PLAN

CARE HOME RESIDENTS CONSIDERED IN UK’s STEP ONE A, LOCKDOWN EASE PLAN

The UK government has declared a new plan to ease the 2021 covid19 lockdown restrictions starting 8th march 2021.

Among the areas to be eased on Step One A of the lockdown ease plan are the care home residents that will be allowed to get one visitor at a time from the 8th March 2021.

The 4 step plan comes after some registered success of the country-wide mass vaccination drive that was launched in mid-December, aiming to cover 100% of the citizens by June 21st with an estimate of 400,000 people vaccinated per day across the Country.

The vaccine program has entered its second phase after everyone in the first four priority groups – those aged 70 and over, care home residents, healthcare workers, and people required to shield – were offered a jab by mid-February.

The rollout is now being expanded to include those aged 60 and above and those deemed clinically vulnerable. The rest of the over-50s will follow, with the government aiming to offer everyone in priority groups five to nine a jab by mid-April. These groups account for 88% of deaths so far.

Nine groups to be vaccinated in the second phase

So far, more than 18.2 million people in the UK have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine – and are expected to receive their second dose 12 weeks after their first jab (dose). Only about 670,000 people have by this date received their second doses.

Corona Virus was first registered in the UK on 29th January 2020 and has so far claimed over 120,757 people and infected over 4,126,150 with a significant reduction in both death and number of infected people in the last two months.

As a cooperate social responsibility, Gold Tech Care Services UK hereby calls upon all citizens most especially those with underlying health issues, frontline workers, and students to turn up to the nearest vaccination centers and take their first coronavirus jabs.
